Annalusa heard the sound of the first horrible explosion. She looked over at the dissipating fire ball. The shields were holding for the time being. She looked to her mother.
"The Zulpal!" She hollered.

"Battle stations! Keep that shield up!" Glyndora barked out orders. She turned to the handmaiden. "Get my daughter to safety, now!" She commanded. Glyndora ran off to assist in the defense and retaliation.

The handmaiden gave a quick head nod to the Queen. She then grabbed the Princess' hand and began to lead her away.
"This way, your Highness."

Annalusa grabbed her bow and arrows before her handmaiden led her away. As she was led through the chaos happening around them, Annalusa could hear the yelling of commands and explosions. Most warriors around her had enchanted leather armor which made them fire resistant. She could feel her heart racing. Why was this happening? This was her home. It needed defending. She couldn't just run. Annalusa slipped from the grip of her handmaiden.

"I want to help!" She said and took off toward the main entrance of her village. She nocked an arrow and looked up to see where the fireballs were coming from. She pulled back the bowstring, aiming it high in the sky toward the fireballs direction. Annalusa recalled the feeling she had when she hit her target. She was relaxed and calm. Annalusa mentally blocked out the noise around her and just focused on what she was doing. She lowered her bow slightly and let it fly.

Annalusa's arrow landed just a couple inches away from Kordyn's foot.

Over near the large Turven tree. The shield was rapidly blinking. The casters were using up the last of their energy. The shield soon vanished!

Kordyn looked down at the arrow. He pulled it out of the ground and gazed at it. It had come from Princess Annalusa. Her arrows had a more intricate carving in them and it shimmered with a fire protection spell.
"I think I'll return this personally." He said and began walking toward the village that had been built up around the massive Turven tree.
